OKLAHOMA CITY – The Sooner Athletic Conference announces that 701 student-athletes have been named to the 2024-25 SAC Scholar-Athlete list for their work in the classroom over the past school year.
 
University of North Texas at Dallas landed a quartet on this prestigious list with Greg Crawford, Daniel Sohn, Sergio McClain, and Ryleah Fisher representing the Trailblazers. It is the second year in a row that Sohn, Fisher, and McClain were tabbed Scholar-Athlete honors.
 
Sohn graduated this May from the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Communication and Digital Media and was Summa Cum Laude with a 3.98 GPA. Fisher graduated from the School of Liberal Arts and Science in Criminal Justice and was Cum Laude with a 3.65 GPA. McClain is a junior that is majoring in Business and posted a 3.83 GPA. Crawford is majoring in Applied Arts and Sciences and registered a 4.0 GPA in the graduate program.
 
The SAC Scholar-Athlete list covers student-athletes who participate in any NAIA-recognized sport, and they must be juniors or above in academic standing with at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average. The student-athletes also must have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer at a member school. The student-athlete's grade point average should only include the current school's grade point average and should not consider previous schools.
