DALLAS – The University of North Texas at Dallas athletics department ushered a new era of leadership on Friday with its annual Athletic Day to begin the 2025-26 year. First-year Athletic Director and Men's Basketball Coach
Josh Howard and new General Manager Kennah Lambert led the sessions and highlighted the new mission of the department, which welcomes
new staff members and returns some from last year in different roles.
Other departments attended to speak with the student-athletes and share additional information regarding resources and encouraged seeking support from various outlets on UNT Dallas' campus. Special thanks to all the guest speakers that shared insight with our Trailblazers.
With each Trailblazer from cross country, basketball, track and field, and dance in attendance, the department united to learn about expectations for the upcoming year. A message of "find a reason to celebrate" and "excited for growth of the program" were echoed throughout day.
Things wrapped up with each student-athlete taking a Media Day Head Shot, which will be available on the website soon.
