As a freshman in 2024, Owens competed in two races for the Trailblazers. She made her collegiate debut in a 5k at the DBU Old Glory Gallop (10/5/24) and had a 43:05.6 time. She was one-of-two UNTD competitors at the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships (11/9/24) with a time of 50:51.0 in the 6k.
