UNT Dallas named Nathan Yacovissi as Athletic Communications Director in August 2024. Yacovissi will be responsible for media relations pertaining to cross country, basketball, and track and field student-athletes and programs.
Yacovissi returns to a campus role after previously serving as the Assistant Commissioner for the American Southwest Conference. While at the conference, Yacovissi assisted in all aspects of the NCAA Division III conference operations with an emphasis on traditional and social media communication, championship events and sport operations.

Yacovissi brings a decade of experience in the sports information industry, starting at University of Dallas as the Sports Information Manager (2014-21) and at Dallas Christian College (2021-22) as the Director of Athletics Communications. At both institutions, Yacovissi maintained website content and was also responsible for multiple website redesigns to support latest trends. He was instrumental in covering all home gameday events for soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, and lacrosse events.

Yacovissi earned a Master of Education degree in kinesiology from Dallas Baptist University (2015) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Centenary College (2013). He is a member of College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
