OKLAHOMA CITY, OK- The UNTD Trailblazers fall in their final road game of the regular season 97-74 to Mind America Christian.
In their final road game of the season, despite the loss, two freshman Trailblazers shined.
Breniya Arnold and
De'Asia Johnson led the Trailblazers in scoring.
The first quarter, the Evangels jumped out to an early lead off play of senior guard Shy Christopher with MACU taking a 22-12 lead into the second quarter.
The Trailblazers continued to fight despite the deficit with Johnson and
Madison Davis adding 5 points a piece in the second quarter. The Evangels, though, took a 52-31 lead into the locker room.
In the third quarter and fourth quarters, MACU extended their lead, but the Trailblazers didn't back down, outscoring the Evangels 26-20 in the fourth quarter. It wasn't enough to overcome the gap and the Trailblazers lost 97-74
Breniya Arnold finished the game with 15 points and 7 rebounds while
De'Asia Johnson added 14 points.Â
The Evangels had 5 players in double digits led by Christopher and Karley Miller with 16 a piece.
UNTD comes home in the final week of conference regular season play as they host Wayland Baptist on Thursday, February 22nd at 6pm at Trinity Basin.
