Nine Trailblazers Part of 2026 Spring Commencement

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – On Tuesday, May 12, University of North Texas at Dallas held commencement ceremony to celebrate Spring 2026 graduates at Texas Trust CU Theatre. Among the total UNT Dallas graduates were nine student-athletes from the men's basketball, women's basketball, and women's track and field programs.
 
Madison Blanch headlined the group by receiving Cum Laude honors. She was the lone graduate from track and field and made her mark in her first year with the Trailblazers. Blanch etched her spot in the record books for cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field. She will be a two-time member of the UNT Dallas Athletic Director's List.
 
Men's Basketball placed the highest amount of graduates with five.
 
Leading the quintet with a graduate degree was Greg Crawford, as he boasted a 4.0 GPA. Crawford also received his bachelor's degree with the Trailblazers, as he completed two campaigns. Crawford is among the top scorers in program history, achieving 902 points. Crawford secured multiple individual game, season, and career records, while also cracking NAIA top 5 in rebounds-per-game. Crawford notched a pair of All-Conference honors, including All-RRAC First Team, and was a five-time conference player of the week winner. Crawford got it done in the classroom with 2026 NAIA Winter Scholar-Athlete, was a Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) Scholar-Athlete, Academic All-SAC, and SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll. He will be on the UNT Dallas Athletic Director's List four times.
 
DaRyan Williams also was named to the UNT Dallas Athletic Director's List four times. He earned a spot on the All-Champions of Character Team with the RRAC. Williams was on Academic All-SAC and SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll. He tied the single-game record for blocked shots.
 
Sedric Curry Jr. will be on UNT Dallas Athletic Director's List twice after competing with the Trailblazers for one season. Demaryon Thornton and Julius Morris have also been on the UNT Dallas Athletic Director's List. Thornton was with the men's basketball program during the inaugural year and after a break returned for the final season and a half to complete his Trailblazer's career and lead the team to a pair of conference tournament berths.
 
Women's basketball featured a trio of mainstays to the roster over the previous three-to-four seasons. Kaylyn Minor and Allysa Pendley match each other for program-highs on the UNT Dallas Athletic Director's List with three each. Sanaa Murphy-Showers added two appearances on this list. Murphy-Showers was also on the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
 
Pendley holds all-time records for blocks in a single-game, single-season, and overall. This group was part of history in several games as a team and led the Trailblazers to their most conference wins in a season with 10 and first postseason appearance since 2021-22.
