Dallas, TX- The UNTD women's basketball opened up Sooner Athletic Conference play against Texas Wesleyan in Ft. Worth where they fell to the Rams 71-54. The Trailblazers, picked 9th in the SAC standings, were led by
ZyUnn Cormier who led with 21 points. The senior from Dallas, TX, a 2nd team All-SAC member in 22-23, shot 7-16 from the field and also had 6 rebounds. Sophomore
Kaylyn Minor, hauled in 10 rebounds for the Trailblazers while also scoring 6 points. The Naaman Forrest HS graduate also had a steal and a block.
Sanaa Murphy-Showers and
Allysa Pendley contributed 8 points and 6 points respectively.
The Rams, 5-2, picked 5th in the SAC, were led by Rikeyah Gant with 17 and Trayn Wills who chipped in 10 points.
The Trailblazers, 0-1 on the year, are back in action on Saturday, December 2nd in their first home conference match of the season at Trinity Basin starting at 2pm.
