GOODWELL, OK- Three UNTD women's basketball players score in double digits as they prevail over the OPSU Aggies 61-47 in a much needed Sooner Athletic Conference win.
The Trailblazers started off hot in the first quarter jumping to 13-7 lead to start the game shooting 40% from the field to the Aggies' 18%.Â
In the second quarter, UNTD extended their lead to 9 taking a 30-21 lead into the half, even with the Aggies bouncing back shooting 6-10 from the field to the Trailblazers' 37%. At the break senior,
ZyUnn Cormier, led the Trailblazers with 10 points.
In the third quarter, it was more Trailblazer offense as UNTD outscored OPSU 21-16 off of
Sanaa Murphy-Showers quarter leading 9 points. After three quarters, Mariah Williams from OPSU led all scorers with 18 points.
The fourth quarter was evenly matched as each team scored 10 points, but it wasn't enough for the Aggies as they fell 61-47.
UNTD had 3 Trailblazers with double figures as both
ZyUnn Cormier and
De'Asia Johnson had 14 points while
Sanaa Murphy-Showers chipped in 13 points.Â
For the Aggies, Mariah Williams and Sierra Tate hit double-digit points with 18 and 12.
The Trailblazers continue their road stint as they head to Wayland Baptist University on Saturday, January 13th. Game time is set for 2:00pm.
