PLAINVIEW, TX- Despite two UNTD women's hoopers hitting double digits, the Flying Queens proved too much for the Trailblazers in this 97-56 Sooner Athletic Conference loss.
From the beginning, it was all WBU. Jumping out to a 34-13 lead in the first quarter, the Flying Queens took a 6-25 lead to the locker room at the half.
In the third quarter, despite playing tougher on the defensive end, the Flying Queens outscored the Trailblazers 21-13, taking an 81-37 lead into the fourth quarter.
The fourth quarter was evenly matched as UNTD outscored WBU 18-16, the game ended in a 97-56 loss.
UNTD had two Trailblazers with double figures as
ZyUnn Cormier led UNTD with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Freshman,
Breniya Arnold also hit double digits with 11 points and also led the Trailblazers with 7 rebounds.
WBU had 5 Flying Queens in double digits led by Megan Nestor with 24.
The Trailblazers continue their road stint as they head to Bethany, OK on January 18th, as they take on the Eagles of Southwestern Christian University.
