DALLAS, TX- The UNTD Trailblazers fall in SAC Conference game 71-48 to the SCU Eagles.

Thursday night's game against the Eagles saw the trailblazers play a strong first half, but an extended lead in the 3rd quarter and a final push from SCU upends UNTD in Sooner Athletic Conference play. The first quarter saw 28 points between the two teams in a strong start on both sides. Senior ZyUnn Cormier led all scores in the first quarter scoring 11 of the Trailblazers 13 points, hitting 3-3 from behind the arc to keep the Trailblazers within 2 to start the game.

The second quarter saw more of the same from each team with the eagles scoring 17 to the Trailblazers 14, and SCU taking a 32-27 lead into the locker room. Cormier continued with the hot hand scoring 7 more points in the second quarter, while the eagles were led by Kennedy Allison with 8 points.

In the third quarter, the Eagles started to pull away comfortably after outscoring the Trailblazers 22-14, but the Trailblazers didn't give up without a fight. ZyUnn Cormier continued to lead the team throughout the third quarter adding 6 more points to give her a total of 24.

In the fourth quarter, the Trailblazers went cold scoring just 7 points to fall to the eagles 71-48.

ZyUnn Cormier led all scorers with 24 points, She shit 8/11 from the field including a perfect 4-4 from the 3-point line. Mya Bills followed with 9 points and 5 rebounds.

The Eagles had 5 players in double digits led by Lauren Wade with 16.

UNTD heads to Mid America Christian in Oklahoma City for their last road game of the year, Saturday, February 17th for a 2pm game.
