KANSAS CITY, MO- Sophomores Daniel Sohn and Sergio McClain have been honored as Daktronic NAIA Scholar-Athletes for 2023-2024.
Daniel Sohn, a 6'7 guard from Aledo, TX, is a Communication and Digital Media major with a 3.93 GPA. Sohn scored 64 points for the Trailblazers this year while hauling in 51 rebounds and dishing out 15 assists.
Sergio McClain, a 6'5 forward from Peoria, IL, is a Business major with a 3.78 GPA. McClain saw some major minutes on the floor this season scoring 98 points for the Trailblazers with 64 rebounds 12 steals and 5 blocks.

The 2024 list features 572 student-athletes (up 30 from 2023) that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
