DALLAS – University of North Texas at Dallas basketball honored six players expected to graduate this May on Saturday at Ellis Davis Field House. The Trailblazers recognized four players on the women's basketball team and two on the men's basketball team. In addition, Ryleah Fisher from the Blazerettes got honored, as the group got to perform at halftime during both games. Fisher is also a member of the UNT Dallas track and field program and is a thrower. She is the lone senior from that team, so all graduating seniors got honored the same day.

Below are statements read about the basketball players honored and their contributions to the program.
 

#5 Skye Dugan
A guard from Richardson, Texas, Skye Dugan played one season with UNT Dallas after arriving from University of Maine Fort Kent. Dugan played and started 23 games entering the weekend and has totaled 332 points, averaged 14.4 points per game, grabbed 115 rebounds, dished 94 assists, and swiped 73 steals. She leads the Sooner Athletic Conference in steals and is top ten in the league for made free throws with 96. That mark sets a new season record for the program, along with her total amount of steals. Dugan is tied for the season record for assists. Dugan notched a double-double this season against Nelson with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Her personal-best in scoring was 29 points versus Oklahoma City on November 16.

#20 Eryka Patton
A forward from Hutchins, Texas, Eryka Patton played one season with UNT Dallas after arriving from Henderson State University. Patton led the Trailblazers in scoring and rebounding, nearly averaging a double-double with 15.5 points and 9.4 boards. Patton logged 10 double-doubles on the season, playing 24 games and starting 23 of them. Patton leads the Sooner Athletic Conference in rebounding and is a top 10 scorer. She also ranks top 10 in the league for steals and blocked shots with 42 and 20. Patton had 21 points and record-setting 19 rebounds in a win at Central Christian this season on February 8. She already holds the season record for rebounds. 
 
Eryka Patton is majoring in Psychology.
 
#33 Madison Davis
A forward from Mansfield, Texas, Madison Davis played two seasons with UNT Dallas after previously going to University of Texas at Tyler. Davis has combined to play in 33 games, while making three starts. She logged 61 points, 87 rebounds, 13 steals, and 15 assists with the Trailblazers. Davis contributed off the bench in the second half of the season, as UNTD posted a stretch of winning 4-of-6 games. This included a key contribution from her as she had a three-pointer, two rebounds, and two assists in the team's largest margin of victory, 66-46, this season against Oklahoma Panhandle State University.
 
Madison Davis is majoring in Information Technology.
  
#23 Mya Bills
A guard from Rockwall, Texas, Mya Bills played three seasons with UNT Dallas after previously going to Southwestern Community College in Iowa. Bills has played the most games among active players on the Trailblazers and is the team's most lethal threat from the three-point line. She has twice matched the program record for made three-pointers in a game with seven. Her most recent helped boast a career-high 33 points in a victory at University of Science and Arts on January 20. Bills also was one field goal away to tie the single-game record with 12. Bills recorded a three in 22 contests this season. Her career-game featured her shooting the best three-point field goal percentage in a single-game with a 7-of-10 mark. Bills enters with 342 career points.
 
Mya Bills is majoring in Biology.
 
#5 Jayden Johnson-Blair
A guard from Dallas, Texas, Jayden Johnson-Blair played three seasons for UNT Dallas. He has served as the point guard and been the team's assist leader the past two seasons. Johnson-Blair twice set the record over this span with nine assists in game, including this year versus Texas Wesleyan University on January 6. Johnson-Blair leads the Sooner Athletic Conference with 118 dimes, also a season record. He also will be the all-time leader in assists at the end of the season, as he entered with 235 today. Johnson-Blair leads the team this season in total minutes with 895 and is averaging 35.8 per contest. In addition to assists, he as logged personal highs in points with 203, rebounds with 89, and steals with 35.

#3 Vernon Johnson
A guard from DeSoto, Texas, Vernon Johnson has been with UNT Dallas men's basketball since the inaugural year of 2020-21. He has compiled many record-setting statistics, as the team began its membership in the NAIA and Sooner Athletic Conference in 2021-22. Johnson introduced his presence as a stalwart with the Trailblazers by being named Newcomer of the Year. Johnson is also a three-time All-Sooner Athletic Conference selection. Johnson became the first UNTD Men's Basketball member to eclipse 1,000 points at Homecoming this season against Jarvis Christian. He is the other UNTD player to surpass 800 minutes this season with his back-court teammate Johnson-Blair. Johnson holds a league-leading 45 steals and sits second on the team in points this season with 245, rebounds with 103, and assists with 68. Johnson was recognized with Inside the Sooner Athletic Conference for his commitment to the local program, as he represents on the court and in the community. Johnson earned two headline moments with a game-winning shot in overtime at Texas Wesleyan this season and had the go-ahead free throws at NCAA Division I Rice University in December.
 
Vernon Johnson is majoring in Biology.
