OKLAHOMA CITY – University of North Texas at Dallas track and field had two student-athletes named this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the of their efforts last weekend, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
 
Senior Ryleah Fisher (Denton, Texas) was named women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, while freshman Bryson Mcrae (Dallas, Texas) claimed men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. The duo earned their second conference athlete of the week honors this spring and the Trailblazers now have accumulated six total this season.
 
Fisher took part in the Jim Mize Invitational and earned a personal record in the Shot Put with a toss of 11.17m. This shattered her previous best two seasons ago. Fisher finished fifth behind four NCAA Division I competitors, including host Louisiana Tech.  
 
Mcrae took part in the Jim Mize Invitational and placed ninth in the Long Jump with a mark of 6.90m and was part of the Trailblazers' 4x100m relay with a season-best time of 43.01.
