FORT WORTH, Texas – University of North Texas at Dallas track and field is scheduled to compete in the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Texas Wesleyan University at Karen Cramer Stadium this Thursday through Saturday.

TRAILBLAZER NOTES
- Kristian Nichols ranks 2nd in SAC in 200m with 12.18 time at 2025 War Hawk Classic.
- Nichols slots 4th in SAC in 200m with 25.55 time at War Hawk Classic.
- Jocelyn Owens is 8th in SAC in 100m with 12.67 time at War Hawk Classic.
- Devin Page checks in 7th in SAC in 800m with 1:55.36 time at War Hawk Classic. Page has accumulated three top-five finishes and one gold in the event this spring.
- Keilond Wright ranks fifth in the 400m Hurdles with a 1:00.83 at the War Hawk Classic.
- Markevian White and Kenya Singletary hold ninth in the performance lists in the 100m and 200m, respectively. White ran a 10.77 at the War Hawk Classic and Jim Mize Invitational, while Singletary ran a 21.70 at Jim Mize last weekend.
- The 4x100m Relay set a season-best time 43.01 last meet, while the 4x400m Relay won first place at the same competition. Jahaden Jackson, Skylar Evans, Bryson Mcrae, White, Singletary, and Page have all participated in the relays this spring.
- Mcrae ranks second in Long Jump for the only field event on the men's side and had a 7.20m at the War Hawk Classic.
- Ryleah Fisher holds fourth in the Shot Put and Hammer Throw. She threw a personal record 11.17m last meet in Shot Put. Her 33.73m at War Hawk Classic is her best result this season.
 
SAC CHAMPS HISTORY
Ryleah Fisher won Hammer Throw in 2023 with a 36.66m (120'3") result.
Malaisha Cartwright won second in the 100m and 200m in 2023.
Teran Rogers won second in the 100 Meter Hurdles in 2023.
Shonase Collins won third in the Shot Put with an 11.35m (37' 3") in 2023.
4x100m relay won second with a time of 49.23 and had Jordyn Stephens, Sa'Nyia Presley, Malaisha Cartwright, and Tekevia Jones in 2024.
Cartwright added second in the 100m and third in the 200m in 2024.
Persely was second in the 100m Hurdles.
 
The current roster competing this spring will feature Fisher, Page, Ernest Ayanugo, and Major McGill IV has previous competitors at the SAC Championships.
 
The team is coached by interim head coach Knashia Dawson, who has assisted the team at previous championships.
