HOUSTON, Texas – University of North Texas at Dallas indoor men's track and field traveled to Houston-Yeoman Field House for the rescheduled FasTrak Collegiate Indoor Classic last Saturday. After missing two weeks ago for inclement weather, the Trailblazers competed for their second indoor competition of the 2026 year under first-year head coach Darvis Patton.

Several personal records and school records continued to be set by the Trailblazers in this meet.

Bryson Mcrae (Dallas, Texas) continued his great indoor season with his third straight meet to break a program record mark in the Long Jump to 6.92m. He also had the highest finish in fourth place.

Devin Page (DeSoto, Texas) was nearly identical to his record-setting time in the 800 Meters and finished in sixth place in consecutive competitions. Page highlighted a trio of Trailblazers that set personal marks in the 800m along with Santos Vega (Houston, Texas) and Korey Grant (Weatherford, Texas).

In the 60 Meter-Dash, the Trailblazers placed a quartet that set new season-best marks led by Ben Perin with his second straight competition to break a school record with a time of 7:06.

Perin also cracked the top 20 standings in the 200 Meter-Dash with a time of 22.45. Ernest Ayanugo (DeSoto, Texas) had the lone PR from the group in that event with a time of 22.99.

Vega was the other Trailblazer to break a school record, as he reset his own mark to 4:59.54 in the 1 Mile.

Julian Adigler made his Trailbalzer debut in the 400 Meter-Dash.
