NORMAN, Okla. – University of North Texas at Dallas men's indoor track and field completed its regular season last Friday at the Crimson and Cream Qualifier hosted by NCAA Division I University of Oklahoma. It was a great finish to the program's first indoor season that featured at least three countable contests.
 
First-year Head coach Darvis Patton continues to train the program up to new heights, as several individuals concluded this portion of the season with personal records and establishing new program marks.
 
Headlining the results was the 4x400 Meter Relay that won first place. The Trailblazers earned 10 points, as they won their first Indoor Track & Field event in program history. Jahaden Jackson, Ernest Ayanugo, Ben Perin, and Devin Page worked together to accumulate a time of 3:22.32, which was .11 seconds off the team's record-setting mark a week ago in their first indoor race.  
 
Jackson made his indoor track and field season debut and had an immediate impact, as he captured second place in the 400-Meter Dash with a school record time of 51.39. The previous indoor record was by Jackson with a time of 51.78 at the Oklahoma-Mosier Indoor Track (1/31/2025).
 
Perin reset his own event record in the 60-Meter Dash preliminary round with a time of 6.96. Perin ran his fastest time of his career and broke his earlier record time in the event that was 7.01 last week at Jarvis Scott Invite. Perin ran a 6.99 result in the 60m Finals and was credited a point with an eight-place finish.
 
Bryson Mcrae hit a PR in the 200-Meter Dash with a time of 23.41. Keilond Wright ran a season-best time of 57.28 in the 400m.

The Trailblazers turn their attention to the Outdoor Season beginning next month.
