UNTD Men's Indoor Track & Field led by Page, Perin, and Mcrae Performances at Washburn

TOPEKA, Kan. – University of North Texas at Dallas men's indoor track and field began the 2026 part of the season with its opener at Washburn Rust Buster on Friday, January 16. Head Coach Darvis "Doc" Patton saw his participants post strong results to start the year, as he cited several personal records and school records were broken or established.
 
Devin Page (DeSoto, Texas) notched the highest result for the Trailblazers with a sixth place finish overall in the 800 Meters with a time of 1:56.51. This was .02 seconds off the junior's school record in the event last year but does clinch him No. 33 fastest in NAIA. Page also grabbed 16th in the 300 Meter-Dash to give him a pair of top-20 finishes.
 
Bryson Mcrae (Dallas, Texas) is the lone Trailblazers to perform in a previous Indoor Track & Field competition this season with his mark 6.52m in the Long Jump breaking his debut result at OU Winter Field Fest on December 5 by 0.07m. Mcrae claimed 16th to join Page as the other UNT Dallas men's athlete to crack the top-20 results.  
 
Ben Perin led the Trailblazers with participation in three events, including two short distance and one field event. Perin had a top 25 finish in the 200 Meters and Long Jump.
 
UNT Dallas men's track and field records broken or set included: Perin in the 60 Meter-Dash (7.09), Perin in the 200 Meter-Dash (22.38), Page setting the 300 Meter-Dash (36.56), Santos Vega (Houston, Texas) breaking the 1 Mile (5:06.12), and Mcrae in the aforementioned Long Jump.
