Otis Nicksion

Otis Nicksion was named the next Head Women's Basketball Coach for the Trailblazers for the 2025-26 season. He enters his first year as the head coach and second with UNT Dallas after serving as the assistant coach during the 2024-25 season.
 
The Trailblazers posted a 9-17 record overall and 8-16 Sooner Athletic Conference record last season. Eryka Patton was named Sooner Athletic Conference Third Team, while Skye Dugan was named Honorable Mention. Kayli Carrisalez and Patton represented the program on the Academic All-SAC. The duo joined Sanaa Murphy-Showers and Madison Davis on SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
 
Nicksion has spent the last 30 years coaching in DFW with three of the most prestigious girls basketball programs in the Country. Jason Terry Lady Jet's, Former Nike EYBL DFWELITE and Nike EYBL ProSkills.
 
Nicksion served as the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Shorter College in Little Rock Arkansas where he helped guide the team to the Region 2  NJCAA conference championship game in just their second year.
 
Most recently Nicksion served as the head coach for Nike ProSkills 16U EYBL team.  He brings a wealth of basketball knowledge to UNTD Women's Basketball program as well as, an unmatched passion for recruiting from all of his basketball relationships established with some of the best grassroots travel basketball clubs throughout the entire country.  As well as, his portfolio of Texas High School Coaches, National Scouting services and women's basketball media outlets.
 
Nicksion has personally trained and Coached several young ladies who became McDonald All Americans, played College Basketball and even the WNBA.
 
Nicksion attended Jackson State University and holds a bachelor's of science degree in Criminal Justice.  He has two daughters and two grandchildren.
 
Nicksion is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is currently engaged to Ms. Crystal Clark.
