Dallas, TX- The UNTD men's basketball takes it first conference loss of the year, falling 84-69 to USAO. The Trailblazers, shooting 51% from the field on the year, couldn't get the ball into the hoop, shooting just 37% from the field. While they did improve from behind the free throw line hitting 18/22 free throws, it wasn't enough to overcome the Drovers who shot 51% from the field, including 45% from behind the arc. In the first half, the Trailblazers took an early lead behind Tariq Aman's team leading 14 points, but the Drovers led for most of the game extending their 38-28 half-time lead throughout much of the second half.

Along with Aman's 14 points, he also handed out 6 assists and 3 rebounds for the Trailblazers. Junior Vernon Johnson contributed 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals in his 37 minutes of play. Connor Kern followed up with 10 points and 4 rebounds.

For the Drovers, Reggie Quezada led all scorers with 28 points going 4-6 from the 3-point line. Niieihii Blackbear and Logan Dolan each contributed 10 points.

The UNTD men's basketball team hits the road on December 6th for an Exhibition match against UNT Arlington at 4pm. They will continue their road trip for their next conference match against Central Christian College on December 9th.
