DALLAS, Texas – University of North Texas at Dallas men's basketball announced its 2024-25 season and will have 29 dates across the season that tips-off this month. The Trailblazers have 26 regular season games, 24 from the Sooner Athletic Conference, and a pair of exhibitions that will be at NCAA Division I venues. Head Coach Josh Howard enters his fifth season leading the program since its inaugural year in 2020-21, and he looks to guide his squad back to the SAC Tournament starting February 27.

The Trailblazers open the season down the road at Paul Quinn College for a scrimmage on Friday, October 18 at 12:30 p.m. They will open against Dallas Christian College for consecutive seasons, playing on Oct. 26 at 3:00 p.m. in North Dallas near Farmers Branch.

The Trailblazers home opener will be November 2 and part of UNT Dallas' Homecoming, as they welcome Jarvis Christian at 4:00 p.m. at the Ellis Davis Field House. Most of UNTD's home games will be at this venue.

UNT Dallas spends the next week in different parts of DFW, as they play an exhibition at UT Arlington on Nov. 4 and non-conference game at NCAA Division III UT Dallas on Nov. 9.

Sooner Athletic Conference play dominates the docket for UNT Dallas the remainder of the season, as the conference opener will be at Mid-America Christian University on Nov. 14. The first home contest will be on Nov. 16 against Oklahoma City University. The rest of the month will be on the road with a local game at Texas Wesleyan University (Nov. 18) and then the next trio at Wayland Baptist (Nov. 21), Oklahoma Panhandle State (Nov. 23), and University of Science and Arts (Nov. 26).
 
With the calendar flipping to December, UNTD will have its first meeting with 2023-24 SAC Champion Langston University on the 5th. This opens a three-game home stretch with Central Christian (Dec. 7) and Nelson University (Dec. 14) visiting. The nine-game conference streak breaks with the other NCAA DI exhibition at Rice University on Dec. 19 at 11:15 a.m. This will also conclude the 2024 portion of the season.
 
UNT Dallas is back in the friendly confines to welcome 2025 with games versus Southwestern Christian and Texas Wesleyan on January 4th and 6th. The Trailblazers will be at first-year SAC member College of the Ozarks (Jan. 9) and John Brown (Jan. 11) for the first 2025 road swing. UNTD wraps up the month with five contests, three at home on the second meetings with Mid-America Christian (Jan. 16), USAO (Jan. 20), and Wayland Baptist (Jan. 30). Sandwiched between each home tilt will be a trip to Oklahoma City (Jan. 18) and Nelson (Jan. 25).
 
The Trailblazers will open February on the 1st day of the month at home against Oklahoma Panhandle State to conclude the home conference weekend. They embark on the final regular season road trip with a trio of games away at Langston (Feb. 6), Central Christian (Feb. 8) and Southwestern Christian (Feb. 15).
 
The Trailblazers conclude the regular season at home with College of the Ozarks (Feb. 20) and John Brown (Feb. 22), which will also be Senior Day.
 
UNT Dallas aims to qualify for its first SAC Tournament since 2021-22. The opening round is Feb. 27 and the semifinals and finals will be hosted in Fort Worth, Texas on March 3-4.
