Oklahoma City – Junior guard/forward
Greg Crawford (Houston, Texas) from University of North Texas at Dallas earned this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Oklahoma Ford Dealers Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week award for his effort over the past week as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
Crawford aided the Trailblazers to a 1-1 week by grabbing 9.5 defensive boards and two blocks in the two games. Crawford finished a 75-68 win over Central Christian by scoring 26 points and grabbing a season-high 13 rebounds while having three steals in the win.
Crawford continues to build on his stellar conference numbers, improving his conference-high in points scored the past three games. He matched a personal-best 26 points in both outings this past week and increased his double-double total to eight after securing 52 points and 24 boards combined.
Crawford leads the Trailblazers with 18.8 points-per-game and 10.0 rebounds-per-game. He is the only player averaging a double-double and has eclipsed 200 points (207) and 100 rebounds (110). He ranks eighth in the conference for scoring averaging, fourth for total points, and is the leader in the conference for rebounding.

Ashton Howard as the second UNT Dallas men's basketball player of the week honor this season and the tandem secured Defensive Player of the Week accolades consecutive weeks. This is the first time in program history that UNTD has had multiple weekly honors and third overall for the program with the other going to Jules Moor on December 13, 2022.
