OKLAHOMA CITY, OK- UNTD Men fall to Mid America Christian in final regular season road game of the year, 84-62.

Low scoring and poor shooting plaque the Trailblazers when they traveled to Oklahoma City to take on the Evangels of Mid America Christian. The Trailblazers shot just 8-31 in the first half for 25% leading to a 26 point deficit in the first half. To MACU's credit, they couldn't miss shooting an astounding 66% from the field, including 6-8 from behind the arc. Vernon Johnson led the Trailblazers at the half with 7 points and 3 rebounds with 6 total Trailblazers contributing to the 26 points.

In the second half, better shooting helped the Trailblazers outscore MACU 41-37, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit of the first half. To the Trailblazers' credit, they shot 50% from the floor, hitting 5 3-pointers. 9 Trailblazers scored in their efforts and Jason Orta and Vernon Johnson led each contributing 13 points, Johnson also added 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Vernon Johnson's 13 point effort marked his 17th game in which he hit double digit scoring, as he averages 13 points per game as the team's leader. The junior from Desoto, TX, is currently second in field goal percentage with 53.4% in the conference and 15th in scoring. 

The Trailblazers end their regular season at home next week as they take on Wayland Baptist and OPSU on February 22nd and February 24th.
