OPENING TIP
- UNT Dallas returns home for one game during six games spanning from January 9th through the 20th. The remaining five are on the road including two upcoming on this holiday weekend stint.
- The Trailblazers are on a season-long three-game losing streak after starting 2025 in the win column. Their latest setback was an 82-74 result at John Brown.
- Junior Greg Crawford (Houston, Texas) continues to impact on both sides of the ball with 19.4 points-per-game (4th in SAC) and 9.7 rebounds-per-game (1st in SAC). Crawford finally dipped below double figures in rebounding average but remains the only player to have averaged a double-double in the league at any juncture this season.
- Seven players have reached triple-digits in scoring for the Trailblazers. Junior Daniel Sohn (Aledo, Texas) has risen on the team's scoring leaderboard to third with 136 points. That total is already a career mark and has come after a torrid stretch of 80 points in four games.
- Senior Ashton Howard (Cedar Hill, Texas) set the new season and career record for UNTD in blocked shots. His 35 creates the new milestone that should grow the remainder of the year and remains atop the SAC.
- Senior Jayden Johnson-Blair (Dallas, Texas) ranks third in the league with 75 assists and is averaging a 4.7-clip. His previous two outings at Ellis Davis have resulted in a combined 23 assists. He matched his career record and single-game record in assists with nine against Texas Wesleyan. Overall, Johnson-Blair has dished 41 dimes in six home contests.

SCOUTING THE EVANGELS
- Mid-America Christian enters 11-5 overall and 7-5 in SAC play.
- The Evangels knocked off SAC leader Wayland Baptist, 71-67, last Saturday at home.
- MACU is 2-4 on the road this season compared to a gaudy 9-1 at the friendly confines.
- Josiah Fulcher leads the team with 266 points and is part of a quartet averaging double-digits with a 16.6 mark. Juwan White is averaging 12.4 per contest and right under 200 points with 198 overall. Other players to note are Keeshawn Mason and Magok Manyang with 10.7 and 10.4, clips. Tarrence Gaines just misses with a 9.8 average.
- White is fourth in the conference in assists with 4.3 per game.

- These teams opened conference play at Gaulke Activity Center in November.
- Mid-America Christian won a nailbiter, 76-74. The Trailblazers were down 36-25 at halftime and scored 49 points in the second half, while nearly erasing a 15-point gap to have a chance at tying or taking the lead in the final seconds.
- Crawford had 20 points, while Johnson-Blair chipped in 12 and Senior Vernon Johnson (DeSoto, Texas) added 11.
- Fulcher led all players with 25 points, while White had 19, and Manyang tossed in 11.

SCOUTING THE STATS
- Oklahoma City won its previous outing, 83-80, in overtime at home versus Southwestern Christian.
- The Stars enter this week with a 10-7 record and 6-7 conference mark. They are 7-5 at home.
- OCU is at Nelson on Thursday before returning home to host the Trailblazers.
- Avery Jackson ranks fifth in the conference in scoring with 18.3 points-per-game and leads the squad. Clayton Jewell is another big scorer with 14.0 ppg and leads in rebounding with 9.1 per contest. Other scorers on the stat sheet are Yorgio Golesis and Brandon Wilson with 12.5 and 11.6 respective marks.
- The Stars have the best free throw percentage with a 75.6-clip.

- Oklahoma City prevailed 75-73 in the first meeting between these teams in November.
- The Trailblazers were ahead by as many as 18 points midway through the second half, but a 31-11 closing run sent the Stars out on a road win.
- Junior Sergio McClain (Peoria, Ill.) scored 13 points, while Crawford had a dozen points and boards for a double-double. Johnson-Blair scored 11 points and dished eight assists.

- Science and Arts enters 7-10 overall and 5-8 in conference play.
- The Drovers won last time out with an 83-76 win over Central Christian  
- USAO is 7-5 at home this season and will play a second time against UNTD at the friendly confines.
- Ammad Mohand is leadin the team with 254 points (14.9 ppg) and Ryein Kennedy follows closely with 232 points (13.6). Cade Allen is another impact scorer with 11.2 points-per-game and has scored 142-of-190 points in league games.
- Jaden Harrell leads the conference in assists-per-game with a 5.1-clip.

PREVIOUS MEETING
- These teams met earlier in the season at Drover Fieldhouse. Due to event conflicts, the teams agreed to play a second time in Oklahoma on Monday.
- The Trailblazers won thanks to a 45-31 second half that included nipping a 17-point spread and stringing a big run together to grab an impressive away win early in conference play.
- Crawford notched a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards.
- Howard had 15 points and three blocks. Johnson-Blair had 11 and six assists. McClain tossed in 10 points.
- Manny Gatkek, Allen, and Kennedy scored doubled figures with 12, 12, and 10 points.
