New Trailblazers show off in Women's Cross Country Season Debut at DBU Old Glory Gallop

FORT WORTH, Texas – University of North Texas at Dallas women's cross country opened the 2025 campaign at the prestigious DBU Old Glory Gallop at a new site at AP Ranch on Saturday. It is a deep field of competition that featured 340 places across NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCAA programs.
 
The race was the first for the Trailblazers under the direction of new cross country head coach "Doc" Patton.
 
Freshman Madison Blanch (Midlothian, Texas) highlighted the Trailblazers with the fastest time of 23:33.33 in the 5K and coming in 295th.
 
Junior Rebekah Munoz (Dallas, Texas) posted a time of 26:26.98 in her collegiate debut for 329th.
 
Giving UNTD an entire unit of first-time runners with the team were freshmen Quintasia Isby (Shannon, Miss.) and Jarina Williams. The rookie duo respectively finished with times of 28:11.99 and 32:49.95.  
 
The team morale was great to start off the season and Coach Patton shared his enthusiasm with how the team performed and set a foundation to build onto future races this season.
 
UNT Dallas returns to action a week from now at the SU Showdown in Georgetown, Texas.
