GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – University of North Texas at Dallas women's cross country made its season debut at DBU Old Glory Gallop by competing in a 5K and battling against a large field of several programs from NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA on Saturday morning in Lynn Creek Park.
Over 400 individuals competed with the Trailblazers having five perform on the course. Freshman
Kristian Nichols (Lancaster, Texas) led the quintet with a time of 32:35 and finished at 293rd in her first collegiate race.
Classmate
Jocelyn Owens (Dallas, Texas) posted a time of 43:06 in her first race, while sophomore
Jordyn Stephens (Plano, Texas) followed with a 43:06 mark. Freshman
Yolanda Johnson (Chicago, Ill.) and junior
Ryleah Fisher (Denton, Texas) also were competing for UNT Dallas.
