GEORGETOWN, Texas – University of North Texas at Dallas women's cross country returned to action for consecutive weekends, this time heading out of town to the SU Showdown and racing in its first 6k of the fall.
 
Freshman Madison Blanch (Midlothian, Texas) continued her strong debut season with UNTD by leading the women's team with a 47th finish and 28:39.10 time.
 
Classmate Quintasia Isby (Shannon, Miss.) followed with a time of 33:08.13 for a 66th finish. Junior Rebekah Munoz (Dallas, Texas) dialed a 34:00.53 mark for 71st. Freshman Jarina Williams rounded out UNTD with a 41:16.65 time.
 
This race featured NCAA Division II Dallas Baptist, who won with 38 points. Seven other teams are NCAA Division III teams, with other top finishes going to host Southwestern (60 points) and Texas Running Club (677 points).
 
UNT Dallas takes a weekend off before preparing to race in its first Red River Athletic Conference Championship on October 31 at Texarkana.
