DALLAS – University of North Texas at Dallas men's basketball released the 2025-26 schedule, which features most games against Red River Athletic Conference teams. The Trailblazers enter their first year as members and will have 22 contests with a home and away against the league opponents. Entering his sixth season as the head coach, Josh Howard seeks a return to the conference tournament and a chance at leading the program to a first-year postseason victory.   
 
UNT Dallas has 27 regular season games on the docket this season, with a pair of exhibition games against NCAA Division I University of Texas at Arlington and NCAA Division II University Southern Nazarene University. The Trailblazers have a repeat trip to Arlington for consecutive years, and they did showcase some special magic last season with an ESPN+ telecast that saw them upset Rice University in a one-point thriller.
 
Home contests are slated to return to Ellis Davis Field House for the second straight year. Most games will be at that location with occasional games at other disclosed locations at a sooner time to the scheduled date. Latest updates will be available on untdallasathletics.com. 
 
The season tips off on October 30 with an annual contest against Dallas Christian College. November 1 at home versus Wiley University will be part of the institution's Homecoming festivities that are happening all week. After the pair of exhibition matchups, the Trailblazers will be at Paul Quinn College on November 12 for a local matchup 10 minutes apart from the campuses. After a non-conference game at Huston Tillotson University (Nov. 15), the RRAC opener will be at home against University of the Southwest (Nov. 22). The month concludes with a final non-conference battle at University of Central Oklahoma (Nov. 24)
 
December begins with a pair of road games at Texas A&M-San Antonio (Dec. 4) and Our Lady of the Lake University (Dec. 6), before a final exhibition at Texas State University. The Trailblazers host two RRAC games with Xavier University of Louisiana (Dec. 11) and North American University (Dec. 13). They wrap up 2025 portion of the schedule with two league road games at Texas A&M-Texarkana and LSU-Shreveport on Dec. 18 and 20, respectively.
 
The 2026 ledger contains all RRAC games with the action beginning January 3 at University of the Southwest for the second meeting. Texas College (Jan. 8), Jarvis Christian (Jan. 10), Our Lady of the Lake University (Jan. 22), and Texas A&M-San Antonio (Jan. 24) will play UNTD in the metroplex.
 
The Trailblazers also will spend that month in Louisiana with a pair of contests at Louisiana Christian University (Jan. 15) and LSU-Alexandria (Jan. 17). The final day of the month will also have UNT Dallas in the Pelican State at Xavier University of Louisiana to wrap up a second matchup between the conference foe. The first part of that road swing will be at North American (Jan. 29).
 
LSU-Shreveport and Texas A&M-Texarkana begin February with home matchups on the 5th and 7th, respectively. After away games the following week at Texas College (Feb. 12) and Jarvis Christian (Feb. 14), the Trailblazers host LSU-Alexandria (Feb. 19) and Louisiana Christian (Feb. 21), which slated to be Senior Day.
