4/22/2025 8:34:00 AM

RUSTON, La. – University of North Texas at Dallas track and field continued trending upward at the Jim Mize Invitational with several personal records and season-bests. Others maintained nearly the same top results of the outdoor campaign, as the Trailblazers completed their final tune-up prior to competing in the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships in Fort Worth, Texas, April 24-26.

Headlining the men's team was the 4x400m relay winning first place with a 3:29.79 time and toppling three NCAA Division I programs, which included host Louisiana Tech. Freshmen Jahaden Jackson (The Colony, Texas) and Kenya Singletary and sophomores Devin Page (DeSoto, Texas) and Major McGill IV (Forney, Texas) teamed up for the top finish.

Another pair of freshmen Markevian White (Longview, Texas) and Bryson Mcrae (Dallas, Texas) joined Jackson and Singletary on the 4x100m relay as that quartet posted a season-best time 43.01 and was fourth.

White secured personal bests in the 100-meter dash (tied his time last meet) and 200-meter dash. Singletary notched his fastest time of his first collegiate campaign in the 200m to headline a trio in that event. Jackson made his outdoor 200m debut.

Page remains a runner to watch in the 800 Meters thanks to a top-five finish with a time 1:55.74, which was ticks off his season-best at the 2025 War Hawk Classic. McGill IV notched his season-best time 2:05.31 in the same event. He claimed a PR in the 1500 Meters, while freshman Santos Vega (Houston, Texas) ran his quickest time in the event. Vega debuted in the 3000 Meters, too.

Mcrae remains the lone competitor on the men's team to do a field event and produced a ninth place finish in the Long Jump.

Senior Ryleah Fisher (Denton, Texas) shined on the women's side and in the field events with a personal record 11.17m in the Shot Put. That result checks her in fourth in the SAC Performance List this spring. Freshman Jada Cole also threw a PR in the same event.

Freshmen Kristian Nichols (Lancaster, Texas) and Jocelyn Owens (Dallas, Texas) continue their strong seasons in the 100m and 200m. Teammate Ke'Liyah Anderson (Dallas, Texas) gave UNTD a trio in the 200m event.

All results are listed below. UNT Dallas will compete a fourth straight weekend in April and have the quick turnaround this week with the SAC Championships across three dates starting on Thursday. The race will be hosted at Texas Wesleyan University at Karen Cramer Stadium.
