Another Meet of Growth for Men's Track & Field Trailblazers at TCU Alumni Invitational

FORT WORTH, Texas – University of North Texas at Dallas men's track and field continued its great start to the outdoor season under first-year head coach Darvis "Doc" Patton, as the Trailblazers dispatched a trio of program records consecutive weekends. The Trailblazers remained in DFW, as they competed at another NCAA Division I campus at the TCU Alumni Invitational.
 
The field featured teams from the Big 12, SEC, ACC, MAC, the American Conference, the SWAC, along with Division II, Division III, NAIA, junior colleges and even professional athletes.
 
Several runners improved on season times from a week ago and the full roster got utilized with a few season and event debuts. The Trailblazers also had two groups run in the 4x400m Relay.
 
Ben Perin reset his own school record in the 200m by 0.01 seconds, as he claimed top-15 with a time of 21.53.
 
Jahaden Jackson scratched tallies off his school record from last season in his first outdoor meet in the 400m with a time of 49.82 result. His previous best was 50.25 at the War Hawk Classic on April 11-12, 2025.
 
The 4x400m relay 'A Squad' broke the school record from the SAC Championships on April 25-26, 2025. This quartet featured Jackson, Ernest Ayanugo, Perin, and Devin Page with a 3:20.68 time. The previous best mark was 3:23.91 that also had Jackson and Page in the first pair of legs in that previous record feat.
 
Bryson Mcrae also made his season debut with appearances in the 100m and Long Jump for the Trailblazers' only field event.
 
At least three Trailblazers completed in four events, with the 800m having the most student-athletes with four. Page and Major McGill IV made event debuts, while Santos Vega and Korey Grant each improved on season times. Grant notched a personal record.
 
Markevian White, Julian Adigler, and Keilond Wright picked up season-best times with White on the 200m (22.07), Adigler in the 400m (53.28), and Wright was great on a pair of events with 400m (55.06) and 400m hurdles (1:02.34). Both of Wright's results were PRs.
 
UNT Dallas continues its busy stretch of outdoor meets with another weekend trip to a Big 12 host at Baylor. The Trailblazers are at the Clyde Hart Classic on March 27-28.
