DALLAS – University of North Texas at Dallas cross country announced its 2025 schedule, which will be led by first-year head coach Darvis "Doc" Patton. Patton joined the Trailblazers' staff in August and is a highly decorated world-class athlete and coach.
 
The men's and women's cross country teams venture onto the trails this fall with a trio of competitions in October. The season debuts on Saturday, October 11, at the DBU Old Glory Gallup on a new course in Fort Worth. The Trailblazers will get a shot at a huge meet featuring teams from multiple collegiate levels. It will be hosted by NCAA Division II and a nationally competitive program Dallas Baptist University.
 
Things shift to a first-time meet for the Trailblazers with the SU Showdown hosted by NCAA Division III Southwestern University in Georgetown on October 18.
 
The Red River Athletic Conference Championship will be October 31 at Texarkana, Texas. This will be the first season that UNT Dallas competes at the RRAC Championship since joining in July.
