GEORGETOWN, Texas – University of North Texas at Dallas men's cross country continued building its way to the Red River Athletic Conference Championship in a few weeks, after racing an 8k consecutive weekends, this time heading out of town to the SU Showdown.
 
Junior Major McGill IV (Forney, Texas) led the Trailblazers for consecutive competitions with the quickest time of 30:46.05. He came in 52nd place out of 88 individuals.
 
Sophomore Santos Vega (Houston, Texas) made his 2025 debut with a time of 31:42.50 and finished 61st. Junior Devin Page (DeSoto, Texas) followed by clocking a 31:43.49 result. Sophomore Skylar Evans (Dallas, Texas) notched a personal best 32:22.56 time and 64th place to give UNTD three-of-four in a sequence. Sophomore Keilond Wright (Paris, Texas) and junior Ernest Ayanugo (DeSoto, Texas) rounded out the group of Trailblazers with respective times of 39:27.09 and 40:37.33.
 
The Trailblazers finished eighth place out of nine teams, edging NCAA Division III University of Dallas with 226 points.
 
This race featured NCAA Division II Dallas Baptist, who won with 18 points. Seven other teams are NCAA Division III teams, with the top three finishes going to host Southwestern (84 points) and Trinity (107 points).
 
UNT Dallas takes a weekend off before preparing to race in its first Red River Athletic Conference Championship on October 31 at Texarkana.
