FORT WORTH, Texas – University of North Texas at Dallas men's cross country opened the 2025 campaign at the prestigious DBU Old Glory Gallop at a new site at AP Ranch on Saturday. It is a deep field of competition that featured 403 places across NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCAA programs.

The race was the first for the Trailblazers under the direction of new cross country head coach "Doc" Patton.

Junior Major McGill IV (Forney, Texas) led the UNT Dallas quintet with a time of 29:52.79 and finished 348th. The time for McGill IV easily shattered a personal record time in the 8k previously set at the Sooner Athletic Conference last fall (32:03.5).
