UNTD Women's Indoor Track & Field Opened 2026 at Washburn Rust Buster

TOPEKA, Kan. – University of North Texas at Dallas women's indoor track and field ran its season opener at Washburn Rust Buster on Friday, January 16. Head Coach Darvis "Doc" Patton saw his participants post strong results to start the year, as he cited several personal records and school records were established.
 
Ashli Barron (Crowley, Texas) and Jarina Williams (Fort Worth, Texas) led the Trailblazers in events competed in with four. Barron notched top 30 results in the 60 Meter-Dash and 200 Meter-Dash, while placing 18th in the Long Jump. Williams was top 30 in the 300 Meter-Dash, and the pair were the first and last leg of the 4x400m relay.
 
Madison Blanch (Midlothian, Texas) garnered a top-30 result in the 800 Meters.
 
Williams set the program record in the 300 Meter-Dash with a time of 46.56. The Trailblazers also had record feats set by Naomi Peregrina (1 Mile – 6:22.18), Blanch (800 Meters – 2:34.850, Rebekah Munoz (Dallas, Texas) (3000 Meters – 15:32.30), and Barron (Long Jump – 5.03m).
