Women's Track & Field runs at SMU Invite

DALLAS – University of North Texas at Dallas women's track and field team competed at the SMU Invitational to begin the month of May.
 
Ashli Barron headlined the Trailblazers results by leading the team with fastest times on the 100m and 200m. Her 12.20 mark on the 100m matched a personal record back-to-back weekends and ranks No. 71 in NAIA. She finished 21st in the 100m, as she competed among 39 athletes that included runners from several NCAA Division I programs that includes: North Dakota State, Missouri State, Tarleton State, UTEP, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, North Texas, and host SMU.
 
Barron claimed a top-20 place in the 200m with a time of 25.13. Quintasia Isby and Jarina Williams ran PR's in the event with respective times, 26.07 and 26.81.
 
Williams picked up her second PR of the meet with a 1:03.18 time in the 400m. The freshman improved on her personal best at consecutive competitions to conclude her campaign.
