Women's Indoor Track & Field Post Many Records and PR's at FasTrak Collegiate Indoor Classic

HOUSTON, Texas – University of North Texas at Dallas indoor women's track and field traveled to Houston-Yeoman Field House for the rescheduled FasTrak Collegiate Indoor Classic last Saturday. After missing two weeks ago for inclement weather, the Trailblazers competed for their second indoor competition of the 2026 year under first-year head coach Darvis Patton.
 
Several personal records and school records continued to be set by the Trailblazers in this meet.
 
Ashli Barron highlighted the group with personal records in the 60 Meter-Dash and 200 Meter-Dash. She ran a time of 7.83 in the preliminaries for seventh place in the 60m for her PR and competed in the finals with a 7.89 time for eighth. Barron shattered a school record in the 200m with a 25.87 time and was 12th place.
 
The previous 200m record was 26.13 by Ava'yon Harris at Houston-Yeoman FH-banked on Feb. 11, 2022.
 
Other school records broken included Madison Blanch in the 400 Meter-Dash. With three Trailblazers racing in the event for the first time this season, Blanch set the tone with a time of 1:04.22 that broke the previous mark held by Yessica Araiza (1:07.43) at the same competition mentioned above. Joining Blanch with a strong showing was Jarina Williams with a time of 1:05.06. Williams freshman classmate Quintasia Isby also nearly passed the record time with a 1:07.75-clip.
 
Naomi Peregrina claimed PR's in the 1 Mile and 800 Meters. Her time of 6:02.61 in the 1 mile was 22nd and reset her program record time of 6:22.18 from the first race. Peregrina also scored a PR in the 800m with a time of 2:35.62.
 
Rebekah Munoz improved on her time in the 1 mile with a PR time of 7:02.20.
 
The final school record being shattered was the 4x400 Meter Relay that featured Barron, Blanch, Peregrina, and Williams compiling a time of 4:15.68. It broke the previous record at Houston-Yeoman in 2022 that Cartwright, Calijah Peay, Teran Rogers, and Layla Houston.
 
Making her collegiate debut was Ar'quria Hall in the 60m and Long Jump.

UNT Dallas returns to action this Friday through Saturday at Texas Tech University for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
 
The Trailblazers also announced this week the addition of Crimson and Cream Qualifier at University of Oklahoma on February 20.
