ARLINGTON, Texas – University of North Texas at Dallas men's track and field had a great start with its outdoor season debut under first-year head coach Darvis "Doc" Patton, as the Trailblazers shattered a trio of program records and set the tone for spring at the UTA Invitational on Saturday.

Madison Blanch picked up a pair of school records with her top 10 times in the 800m and 400m hurdles. Blanch ran a 2:27.90 for a fifth-place finish in the 800m, with faster marks that included a pair of NCAA Division I UTA runners and NCAA Division II powerhouse Dallas Baptist. Blanch topped the previous record time of 2:48.87 held by Candy Garay at the 2022 PVAMU Relays on March 25-26.

Blanch continued her strong day for the UNTD program with a record-setting time of 1:11.26 on the 400-Meter Hurdles and a ninth-place finish. The previous record time was 1:16.42 by Sh'kaila Starks at the Ice Breaker Classic on March 18-19, 2022.

Blanch also led the first leg of the 4x400m relay that made its program debut with a time of 4:21.39. Naomi Peregrina, Jarina Williams, and Quintasia Isby also ran in the historic relay.
