AUSTIN, Texas – University of North Texas at Dallas men's track and field took a smaller group to its weekly competition since the outdoor season began, but produced great results in the 98th Annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays hosted by NCAA Division I and SEC University of Texas.

A trio of records were set in the same number of events the Trailblazers raced in. Ben Perin was part of the action in the triple-record affair, as he matched the mark on the 100m with a 10.57 result and finished halfway in a field of 60 participants. Perin adds his name to the record book in another event and this time ties the record that was achieved by Markevian White at UTA Invitational last month. White also ran in the 100m this meet with a 10.81. His name has been by the 100m record the previous two seasons.

Jackson Danner, Ernest Ayanugo, Markevian White, and Perin shattered the 4x100m relay record with a time of 41.64 seconds.

Jahaden Jackson, Ayanugo, Perin, and Devin Page posted a new fastest time in the 4x400m with a result of 3:19.31.

Coach Darvis "Doc" Patton continues to steer the trend in a positive direction for the Trailblazers, especially against elite competition.

UNT Dallas goes west for a big NCAA Division III meet hosted by McMurry University on April 10-11.
