PLAINVIEW, TX- The UNTD men's basketball team falls to Wayland Baptist 85-55 in Plainview, TX. Despite the Trailblazers having nine contributors, it wasn't enough to overcome the Pioneers.

The first half saw the Trailblazers struggling from the field as they were out shot by WBU 50%-31% from the field. Despite Vernon Johnson leading all scorers with 11 points and 4 rebounds, the Pioneers took a 37-32 lead into the locker room.

The shooting woes continued for the Trailblazers as they struggled from the field shooting 26%, while the Pioneers shot 51% from the field including 46% from behind the arc.

Vernon Johnson and and Jayden Johnson-Blair led the Trailblazers with 15 points and 13 points respectively.

The Pioneers had three in double digits with Linton Brown leading with 21 points.

The Trailblazers continue their road stint as they head to Bethany, OK on January 18th, as they take on the Eagles of Southwestern Christian University.
