GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – University of North Texas at Dallas men's cross country competed at the DBU Old Glory Gallop by debuting in its first 8K race of the season and battling against a large field of several programs from NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA on Saturday morning in Lynn Creek Park.
The Trailblazers registered seven competitors, a season-most in 2024 and had the top five times contribute to a 39th finish out of 41 teams with 1,226 points.
Freshman
Santos Vega (Houston, Texas) led UNTD with the fastest time for the second time on the campaign with a 28:32 mark and was 203rd. Sophomore
Devin Page (DeSoto, Texas) set a personal record in the 8K with a 30:15 time and was 233rd. Page's classmate
Major McGill IV (Forney, Texas) posted a 32:50 time for his first race of this distance and came in 260th. Freshman
Skylar Evans (Dallas, Texas) ran in his first collegiate meet and logged a 33:52 time for 263rd.

Ernest Ayanugo (DeSoto, Texas), and freshman
Markevian White (Longview, Texas) wrapped up the group for the Trailblazers with respective times: 37:32 – Mcrae and Ayanugo shared time – and 37:47.
Vega, Page, McGill IV, and Ayanugo competed in their third competition of the season, as the Sooner Athletic Conference Championship looms a little over a month away.
