BETHANY, Okla. – University of North Texas at Dallas cross country will compete in the Sooner Athletic Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 9 at Eldon Lyon Park.
The women's 6k will be at 10:00 a.m., while the men's 8k follows at 10:45 a.m.

UNT DALLAS NOTES
- The Trailblazers ran one previous course this season that was an 8k, which was the previous competition at the DBU Old Glory Gallop.
- Freshman
Santos Vega (Houston, Texas) held the fastest 8k time with a 28:32 mark. Vega has been the fastest UNTD runner in two races this season.
- Sophomore
Devin Page (DeSoto, Texas) set a personal record in the 8k this season with a 30:15 mark.
- Sophomore
Major McGill IV (Forney, Texas) posted a 32:50 time in his first-ever 8k.
- Vega, Page, McGill IV, and sophomore
Ernest Ayanugo (DeSoto, Texas) have competed in all three competitions this season.
- On the women's side, freshman
Kristian Nichols (Lancaster, Texas) led the Trailblazers with a time of 32:35.
- UNTD also had freshman
Jocelyn Owens (Dallas, Texas) debut at the DBU Old Glory Gallop.
- Sophomore
Jordyn Stephens (Plano, Texas) and junior
Ryleah Fisher (Denton, Texas) are returning competitors.
- The Trailblazers will race in their first 6k this fall.
UNT Dallas is led by interim head coach Knashia Dawson, who has been an assistant coach the previous four years.
