DALLAS, TX- UNTD Men get a much need win as Kanntrell Burney goes 7-10 from behind the arc to help the Trailblazers upend the Eagles 80-65 Thursday night.

From the get go, the Trailblazers came out strong shooting 59% from the field in the first half. This also includes shooting 50% from the 3-point line hitting 6-12. The Trailblazers were also strong on the defensive end holding SCU to just 33% and going 0-9 from behind the arc. In the first half, strong play from sophomore Sergio McClain led the Trailblazers in scoring with 10 points and 3 rebounds. Along with McClain, 8 other Trailblazers scored sending UNTD to the locker room at half time with a 41-26 lead.

In the second half, it was all Burney as he scored 20 of the Trailblazers 39 points, hitting 6 of his 7 3-pointers in the second half. While both teams scored 39, the Trailblazers continued their hot hand shooting 42% from the field and 56% from the 3-point line. Subbing in at the 13:17 mark in the second half, Burney went on a 6 minute scoring spree including 17 of the Trailblazers 19 points in that time span and hit 4 3-pointers in a row before missing his first shot at 6:36. 

Kanntrell Burney finished the game with 23 points leading the Trailblazers. Along with 23 points, he added 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Sergio McClain and Daniel Sohn also hit double digits scoring 12 and 11 points each.

The Trailblazers take on Mid America Christian in their last road game of the year on Saturday in Oklahoma City. Game time is set for 4:30pm.
