NEW ORLEANS – University of North Texas at Dallas men's track and field team competed in the first day of the RRAC Championships at Tad Gormley Stadium.

The 4x100 Meter Relay team made history for UNT Dallas men's track and field, as it captured the program's first event conference championship. Jackson Danner, Ernest Ayanugo, Markevian White, Ben Perin ran a 40.91 time for the event title, which was 0.03 seconds shy of the program record and season-best time that this unit has earned to qualify for the NAIA National Championship in May.

Another record was earned Friday, as the Trailblazers competed in their first 4x800 Meter Relay and logged a time of 8:18.90 for third place. Major McGill IV, Santos Vega, and Korey Grant were part of the team's first group to run that event. The time ranks No. 49 in NAIA.

A quartet of Trailblazers ran PR's in the 400-Meter Dash led by Jahaden Jackson breaking his own school record 49.49 for seventh place. Ayanugo (49.45), Devin Page (50.27), and Julian Adigler (52.38) also posted their fastest collegiate times in the event.

The men's team is in fourth place with 18 points. The 4x100m relay squad contributed 10 points, while the 4x800m relay added six points, and Jackson scored two points.

The RRAC Championships conclude on Saturday.
