DALLAS – University of North Texas at Dallas women's basketball closes the 2025 calendar year with a challenging road trip against top teams in the Red River Athletic Conference and receiving national attention. The Trailblazers look to continue their upswing with Texas A&M-Texarkana on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and LSU-Shreveport on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Trailblazers split the two-game home stand last week with a two-point win over Xavier (La.) and four-point loss over North American.
- The Trailblazers picked up a big victory over the second-picked Gold Nuggets after leading by 14 at halftime and hanging on with a last second stop to preserve the two-point win.
- De'Asia Johnson (Dallas, Texas) scored a career-high 20 points. Jade Myles (Dallas, Texas) chipped in 12.
- The Trailblazers pushed an unbeaten North American team to the brink. After playing a third time in four days, the Trailblazers could not overcome 30 plus turnovers and were unable to connect on enough shot in a back-and-forth battle.
- Johnson secured a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the team. Myles had 12 points again, while Kayden Riley (Dallas, Texas) and Channing Beauvais (Paradise, Texas) had 11. Sanaa Murphy-Showers pitched in 10, including a three-pointer that cut the gap to 2 points before NAU sealed the win at the line.

- Johnson ranks fourth in the conference for points-per-game with 15.1 and third in the conference for rebounds-per-game with 8.7. Johnson ranks second on the team with 21 steals and is third in assists with 11.
- ShanDrea Yeldell (Dallas, Texas) has totaled 86 points and is averaging 12.3. Her 12 made three-pointers are also a team-high. She leads the team in steals with 29 and assists with 33.
- Myles rounds out the top trio in scoring with 78 points.
- The team and opponents are even through seven games with 492 points scored and allowed. Steals are also even between the Trailblazers and opponents with 101.
- UNTD is forcing a positive 1.6 margin in turnovers.

- Texas A&M-Texarkana shook off a slow start and has won five in a row to a 5-5 record and 4-1 conference mark.
- The Eagles are 2-1 at home.
- They defeated Louisiana Christian and LSU-Alexandria last weekend on the road. This included a thrilling 76-74 victory last Saturday at LSUA.
- Breyionce George had 20 points behind an 8-of-12 shooting game on the floor. She averages 10.9 points across 10 games.
- Eleionna Brown has played seven games and averages 14.4 points.
- The Eagles were picked sixth in the RRAC preseason poll with 66 points.
