RRAC Press Release

WACO, Texas – Junior De'Asia Johnson (Dallas, Texas) was named Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for contests played from November 10-16. It is the first weekly honor for the Trailblazers as members of the RRAC. Johnson notches her first conference accolade and the program's first since Zyunn Cormier earned Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Week twice in the 2022-23 campaign.

Johnson scored a career-high 20 points that was part of a dramatic 74-73 victory over Paul Quinn last week for UNT Dallas women's basketball. Johnson logged 38 minutes and gave the best all-around performance for the Trailblazers as she added three rebounds, three steals, and a block. She had several key plays with and away from the ball that impacted UNTD gaining its first win of the season and under head coach Otis Nicksion.

Johnson leads the team in scoring on the season with 35 points (17.5 ppg), five three-pointers, and tied for the team-high in seals with six.

UNT Dallas returns to action at home this Saturday against University of the Southwest at 1:00 p.m.
